Ken is the founder and proprietor of the firm.  He is one of the top family and probate attorneys in Alaska.

He was born and raised in Alaska, and graduated from UAA (with honors) and the Cornell Law School.  He established his practice in Anchorage in 1987.

Ken handles guardianships and conservatorships, adoptions, decedent's estates, wills and trusts.

Ken is one of Alaska's most prolific appellate lawyers.  His name can be found as one of the counsel on more than two dozen reported decisions from the Alaska Supreme Court, and two reported Ninth Circuit decisions. He had an article published in the December 2005 Alaska Law Review on advance medical directives (living wills).

Ken is a firm believer in contributing his time to worthy causes. He has served on a number of court rules committees, and is active in several Alaska Bar Association sections. He was chairman of the Elder Law section of the Bar for four years. He accepts court and OPA appointments for indigent litigants, despite the fact that they pay much less than his normal rates. Ken also contributes articles to the Alaska Bar Association's quarterly newspaper, and he is active in his church.
